Super Eagle midfielder, Alex Iwobi gives reasons why Super Eagles was eliminated from the 2021, AFCON.

Recall that Super Eagles were eliminated from the 2021 African cup of Nations in Cameron after losing 1.0 to Tunisia on
Sunday.

Tunisia qualified for the quarter finals of the tournament after winning Nigeria following Youssef Msakni’s strike in the second half.

Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi was sent off during the match while Maduka Okoye, the goalkeeper was condemned for allowing Youssef shot to be a goal. This two points were a loophole.

Iwobi had assumed Nigerians on Instagram on Tuesday that the team will win, as he wrote in a post on his account that; “Moments of joy can quickly turn into pain and anguish. As much as it’s part of football, we came for more.

“Our fans who shared these moments with us both in Cameron and across the world deserve more!
He said; the beauty of the game is the next moment of jubilation is never too far around the corner

“We will be back to fight for our Nation, stronger. We owe it to you, and I owe it to myself. Thank you for all the words of support & encouragement – it doesn’t go unnoticed” he added.
